[Bug 15952] New: Bred 2.962 - NotePad replacement and enchancement
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15952 Summary: Bred 2.962 - NotePad replacement and enchancement Product: Wine Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: mega1(a)pochta.ru CC: mega1(a)pochta.ru Created an attachment (id=17138) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=17138) Delphi 5 program - pure API without visual components Text Editor: Delphi 5 program - pure API without visual components (but uses richedit32.dll). It is possible to "paste" a clipboard, but it is not possible co "Cut/Copy" - so maybe Wine does not allow to recognize the marked block as a text one. The program does not recognize UNICODE, so works in ASCII. The description of the program in Russian is at http://soft.softodrom.ru/ap/p4726.shtml (however, the version I attach has an English localization). The program has a string calculator, scripts for string conversion, user-determined multi-replace depending on the extension etc. With best wishes and thanks, -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15952 --- Comment #3 from mega1 <mega1(a)pochta.ru> 2008-11-08 16:53:57 --- Dear Detlev, sorry, I am a novice in replying.
--- Comment #2 from Detlef Riekenberg <wine.dev(a)web.de> Thanks for your Interest in Wine, but Wine will never be released with an external Executable. Sorry, I have attached the executable to be tested with Wine, if You kindly will decide to fix this bug. I have not suggested B.exe to be distributed with Wine (at least in this version, where few functions are very specific for Russian and Ukrainian languages (codings, layout changes).

Did you mean, that Paste a Text from the Clipboard works, but Cut or Copy a marked Text does not copy the Text to the Clipboard? Yes. Under Windows, the menu items Cut/copy are enabled, if the clipboard is recognized to be "text" (formatted or unformatted). Under Wine, this item is disabled, although 5 additional (inner, unformatted text) clipboards work normally (but not with the Wine clipboard).
In one of old versions of WIne working under Slax 5.1.8.1 (difficult to recognize the Wine theyversion - absent in the "About" - maybe 0.9.?), it seemed to work. In a bug report, I have attached B.exe for debug purposes. With best wishes and thanks, Ivan --
