I had this bug in foobar2000 with wine 1.7.34. Doing winetricks cc580 resolved the issue and fixed another bug where text in the program's column headers had the wrong color.
Unfortunately it also broke some layout elements of the foo_facets plugin and some pages in foobar2000's preferences are now blank. Those are even bigger problems. :/ -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I initially posted @ https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50458#c5.
'disabling' (setting the appearing delay to a really high number) tooltips in the registry. https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows11/comments/1mmz5b1/give_us_an_option_to_tur...
Basically, wine regedit, then go to \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse / MouseHoverTime, and set a real high number like 9999999.
I'm sure a wine prefix can isolate this to just foobar2000 but I don't know how to set them up yet.
