I had this with another game I think:

trace:ddraw:DirectDrawGammaControl_GetGammaRamp (0x7fe14208)->(00000000,0x6f859ae8)
trace:ddraw:DirectDrawGammaControl_SetGammaRamp (0x7fe14208)->(00000000,0x6f859ae8)

If you have the Wine sources, could you hack both these functions to always
return DD_OK whatever the status of the 'driver' call inside ?
