It seems to me that it should fix the issue. I plan to open an MR ASAP.

I don't know why it doesn't start for you, might be d3d issue (?).
I am having problems loading anything other than what I compiled myself with mingw (or the wine tests executables etc) with upstream wine. Libraries have trouble loading.
