One sound is heard after opening up the first table. After that, sound is broke. Sound last worked as expected with Wine 1.1.2. Sound cuts out after something less than 1 second. As long as I keep the pokerstars window open no sound will play in other apps. Also, other apps slow dramatically. I've got a solution. I'm running Slackware-12.1 and Wine-1.1.8 downloaded from slacky.eu. PokerStars version is 2.761. I've had the same trouble with sounds. After the first sound played, PokerStars get muted. To solve just: 1) run winecfg 2) on Audio settings, *DESELECT* Alsa and *SELECT* OSS Driver. The restart PokerStars and you'll get almost all sounds. The one that lacks is the card sound. all others are well played. I think cards sounds are too much and too fast to be played by Wine.
