bug still present on wine-11.0
Is there really a bug? To me it seems consistent, the window manager allows moving and resizing the parent window when a modal dialog is blocked. Tested with kwin, but als sway as a tiling window mandager has to resize the parent window if you change the tiling. So if you give the window manager contorl, that's just what you get. It won't behave the same way as on window. I would even see that as a desirable feature, I absolutely hate the behaviour of not being able to move modally blocked windows on Windows. Pretty sure also wayland in general gives even less control over those things to the application and more to the compositor, resp. the user. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56173 Christian PANEL <ch.panel@free.fr> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |ABANDONED --- Comment #5 from Christian PANEL <ch.panel@free.fr> --- You're right in principle, although originally in Windows, "modal" meant "don't touch the application until I finish!". The only cases where this might be a problem are when the modal window absolutely refuses to resize other windows, and it's true that this isn't very logical, desirable, or indicative of a well-designed application. I set status resolved -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
