No, match_filename gets passed the wrong mask L"*" instead of L".*", the real
problem is in ntdll/path.c function collapse_path:
...
   /* remove trailing spaces and dots (yes, Windows really does that, don't
ask) */
    while (p > path + mark && (p[-1] == ' ' || p[-1] == '.')) p--;
...
