Terminal output is attached, it seems a sound problem (fnx_sound_ds7 ?) (note. Sound does work in the intro). I used several sound-drivers, all crash with the same error. Wine version 1.10 on Ubuntu 8.04 with: Nvidia Driver 173.14.05 (nvidia-glx-new-envy from ubuntu repos) on a Dell Latitude D830. If I can provide more info somehow, I'll be happy to. PS. Seems fixed in 1.5.10 i created a new prefix with 1.5.10 in playonlinux installed the demo (including the dx8 that comes with it) and the game worked :)
Please, try again in plain wine 1.5.12. I pressed 2 times no. --> cant start the game. "Pb with the registery value of the 4xdriver index. Please reinstall Eviltwin.", popup message (does this make any sense?). Then I made install second time, this time 2xyes. And same error message when running eviltwin. But then I started Splash.exe and you can run the game via the launcher. It's not possible to start the game via eviltwin.exe for some reason. The game works fine here. All videos play fine. I can get to the menu and enter the game. I couldn't play though as the game requires a joystick I don't have. I just faked one to be able to launch the game. Install: - Install DirectX Media => no - Install DirectX 8 => no Game run with "wine Splash.exe" To fake a joystick I used xbosdrv.
