[Bug 14871] New: In dual-screen setup, windows are not drawn outside the 1st screen resolution
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14871 Summary: In dual-screen setup, windows are not drawn outside the 1st screen resolution Product: Wine Version: 0.9.59. Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: winehqbugs(a)bugmenot.com Created an attachment (id=15422) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=15422) Screenshot of the bug I have a dual screen setup, not Xinerama nor Nvidia TwinView. ' Screen 0 "Screen0" 1024 0 Screen 1 "Screen1" LeftOf "Screen0" ' Screen1 (Left) is 800x600, Screen0 (Right) is 1024x768. Compiz is enabled. Wine app (Miranda) is running on a larger right screen, but only left 800x600 region is correctly drawn. (See screenshots. Note that last correctly drawn pixel is at (799,599), counting from zero). If I drag a window to upper left corner, it draws itself correctly. If I change something inside a window, it may draw something in that region. May be a Compiz bug, btw. But it happens only with Wine for now. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Please test with 1.0.0 or 1.1.2 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14871 --- Comment #8 from David Santamaría Rogado <howl.nsp(a)gmail.com> 2008-10-22 17:09:40 --- In my case this is solved, i am the one who submitted a bug like this but insted using dual screen, i was using the default computer destop at 1366x768, and with another computer a xdmcp session to the first computer. I can say that the parts of the wine windows that are above the 1st screen resolution now are painted. I think this should be marked as RESOLVED. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Fixed then.
May I request this bug to be reopened? I have the same behaviour, running 1.1.10 in Ubuntu Intrepid. Laptop with native 1280x800 is my primary screen, when I open a Wine app in my 1280x1024 external monitor (separate x-screens) the additional area does not draw properly. Workaround is to use a virtual desktop with the size of my external monitor, but then I can't drag/resize the window such that I can see windows behind it, so this is not a satisfactory solution. What info should I provide? Doubt a trace would help. Screenshots maybe? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
