Is failing for me also in GIT. The installer start but when the installation start the installer just close.
Are you sure it didn't install? It exits suddenly here, but appears to have installed fine. There was a discussion whether Skype crashes at _installation_ or not. Skype does not crash at installation for me - so technically this bug is invalid. The problem is that I think Austin ticked off the option "Launch Skype after installation" while Jaime did not. The crash only occurs when this option is ticked, and the error I get is the exact same as when I try to run Skype afterwards so this suggests the error is really because Skype is trying to start _after_ installation.
