java_ee_sdk-6u1-jdk-windows.exe installer fails early in the install because it is unable to obtain a needed resource so it is impossible to start the java virtual machine or it's installer. Java 6 Enterprise SDK is supposed to be a very stable version of Java for Windows.
Why are you running from wine cmd.exe? We can't see any of wine's output if you do that. Oracles list is at: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javaee/downloads/java-archive-downloa... You have to agree to the Oracle license agreement and then choose a file from their list. Unfortuately, Oracle does not allow direct links to files in their archive. Might have been broken prefix/host environment (Wine dependencies). Resolving 'WORKSFORME'. The original Oracle link has a life-time of one minute (autogenerated with auth token): https://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/java_ee_sdk/6u1-wjdk-6u23/java_ee_s... archive.org has a hard-time to snapshot those. By the time the job runs it might have become invalid. There was no prior virustotal.com scan/sample which made me suspicious because of .ru site. Turns out it's exactly the same binary as from Oracle (hash match).
