Windows XP can be set to not blink cursors using the Keyboard control panel.
Wine has a similar setting in win.ini (see bug 10106).

Setting the blink rate to None on Windows stops the cursor from blinking in
Firefox, but in Wine it does not affect Firefox.

The win.ini setting works for notepad and standard controls, but not for
firefox.

This has not been updated for two years. Is this an issue in 1.5.25 or should
this be closed as abandoned ?
