[Bug 37405] New: The entry "My Computer" in regedit is handled like a registry key
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37405 Bug ID: 37405 Summary: The entry "My Computer" in regedit is handled like a registry key Product: Wine Version: 1.7.28 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: sworddragon2(a)aol.com Distribution: --- Steps to reproduce: 1. Open regedit. 2. Make a right click on "My Computer". Expected result: Some entries like "New" which makes no sense there should not be showed (at least this is the case with a native Windows XP). -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37405 --- Comment #1 from sworddragon2(a)aol.com --- Also I'm noticing that selecting the entry "My Computer" after a registry key was previously selected does not cause that the right part of the window gets cleared while this is for example the case with a native Windows XP. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. I only tested wine-staging 1.9.13 This could be really easy to fix. It needs just some if check. The harder thing to do is to locate the exact location of the source code. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. CC'ing Hugh since he contributed a lot to regedit, maybe he gets interested.
Thanks, Bruno. :-) I've had a quick look at the code. There are few structural issues, but overall, this should be relatively straightforward to implement. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
