There are 2 forms for these messages : full frame time codes starting with 0x70 and 10 bytes long. quarter frame time codes starting with 0x71 and 2 bytes long. For debug purpose, the messages are sent on alsa Midi through port, and a midi monitor receives the messages using this port as input. When debugging with WINEDEBUG=midi, I can see the quarter frame messages in the log, but the monitor doesn't (I checked with a native linux application and the same connection method that the monitor can receive these messages). Full frame messages (sent at the beginning) are received. I made a patch, and it now works in both directions (in & out). I join the patch.
