Even killing wine doesn't make the dialog disapear. Could you try with native dcom98 and report back?
How do I do that? Freyer, try this in a virtual desktop. If the problem is a hidden dialog as the appdb says, then dcom98 is useless, and this is a dupe of bug 3997. Alternatively, when it 'hangs', just press enter, and it should get rid of the dialog for you.

That worked. I just pressed enter and was then able to move the window to get at the "I accept" license dialog popup that proved to be a pop-under. I hope this gets fixed soon, because it isn't very obvious that this bug can be bypassed. Unfortunately kotor1 won't run anymore with wine for some other reason.
