Another pilot with the same nVidia video card chipset (9600) can confirm this issue with Wine 1.1.16 version ? Try setting it to extreme which makes this bug appear a lot faster (also just jumping may not cut it since there is nothing new to load, try maybe a mission or plex). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Hi ^^ My current ingame cache size is High (256 Mb) with 1GB Ram and work perfect with plexes, pvp, mining, and mission too (all my test is based on intensive graph work, not only jumps) ... I'll test with Extreme ingame cache settings. Try test with High (256MB) ingame cache settings and post your results... I played with different cache settings but with no positive results - EVE crashes anyway. My current conf: Wine 1.1.16 compiled, 5.5 GB Ram, Athlon X2 5000+, nVidia GeForce 8300 (512Mb), nVidia 180.22 x86_64 compiled, Fedora 10 x86_64. P.S. My Oblivion game also crashes after some time, but this time is much longer in comparison to EVE. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Try run eve with 1 Gb ram or <= 3GB , only for testing.. Fly safe ^^ -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17661 --- Comment #9 from Rico <kgbricola(a)web.de> 2009-03-10 04:34:25 --- Please try to start the kernel with mem=3G. This enables only 3GB ram and should workaround a bug. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17661 --- Comment #10 from N3o <diafoirus(a)gmail.com> 2009-03-10 06:30:52 --- Hi pilot ^^ Usefull link Rico =) thnks ^^. I can add this too : in my current kernel conf I have enabled the High Memory Suppor, you can set it in Processor type Features -> High Memory Support, the options are : off, 4GB, 64 GB. The option info is : CONFIG_HIGHMEM4G: Select this if you have a 32-bit processor and between 1 and 4 gigabytes of physical RAM. You can set this option, accesing to kernel source, and later write " make menuconfig ", for example: # cd /usr/src/linux # make menuconfig and the last step, build the kernel (see kernel doc documentation)...
