http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23184 Summary: Mass Effect 2: can't authenticate disc Product: Wine Version: 1.2-rc3 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: austinenglish(a)gmail.com Installing Mass Effect 2 works mostly fine (aside from bug 22919). However, attempting to run it fails, since it can't verify its disc. Terminal output is short: austin(a)midna:~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Mass Effect 2$ err:ole:CoGetClassObject class {9a5ea990-3034-4d6f-9128-01f3c61022bc} not registered err:ole:CoGetClassObject no class object {9a5ea990-3034-4d6f-9128-01f3c61022bc} could be created for context 0x1 fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x18fd048,0x00000000), stub! fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x18fcf4c,0x00000000), stub! fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x18fe518,0x00000000), stub! fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x18fe41c,0x00000000), stub! fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x18fe1ec,0x00000000), stub! fixme:dsalsa:IDsDriverBufferImpl_SetVolumePan (0x149e50,0x149dc0): stub -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23184 --- Comment #3 from Dan Kegel <dank(a)kegel.com> 2012-02-29 19:26:53 CST --- Probably a dup of, or depends on, bug 29669 (which has more detail). That message is kind of expected. Linux kernel is a bit confused about those extra two bytes, but the truncation doesn't seem to hurt the disc check in Dragon Age Origins, which works once bug 29669 is fixed. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
