If the installer contains "flash9d.ocx" it's probably 9.0.47.0 though even with same naming scheme they can have different version numbers (brain damaged as usual). All external download sites I visited hot link to adobe, seems they pulled the 9.0.47 only offering newer ones, 9.0.60+ Even the 9.0.47 installer (NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe) gets newer .ocx version now. Googeling a bit, i found that even windows users seem to get this error. So Adobe probably messed things up in that version and silently pulled it off. That's nothing new ;-) I suggest using a newer version (containing flash9e.ocx). That will install fine in wine. If you really persist to get this version to install, please use: WINEDEBUG=+tid,+seh,+relay wine regsvr32 flash9d.ocx and attach log. I installed flash played with IE in windows from www.adobe.com and then copied it's files to wine. So it is supposed to be the latest version. Perhaps Flash9e.ocx is a beta version.
