In order to get it up and running I used the following config: winecfg: Disable sound, Emulate Desktop, add dinput8.dll, disable vertex shader support, enable pixelshader. The game was legal bought. I have to use a gamepad for playing this game under WINE. Because keyboard input does not work properly. I have to tweak graphical configuration of this game to start a race. After playing 30 seconds the game crashes causing unhandled exception. Now it's even 1.5year without a replay. Anyway i played for a quite long time right now and no such problems here. Even i had all DLL set to builtin, so no need for such tricks like described in comment #0.
