It sounds as though you're reporting three separate issues: 1. You can't install Office 2003. Why not? What error do you see? 2. You can't do a custom install and select everything to be installed. If not, please file a separate bug report for this, and include whatever error you're seeing there, not here. 3. Something to do with samba. Again, this is a separate bug. There were a couple of bugs that affected the installation of Office 2003 from 0.9.61 through 1.0-rc4. These have been fixed as of 1.0-rc5. During custom install it's not possible to select "Install entire feature" item - it's always grayed out. The only way to install entire feature is to click through all subitems. During custom install it's not possible to select "Install entire feature" item - it's always grayed out.
Yes, I can confirm that. I assume it's related to this: fixme:msi:msi_seltree_menu select feature and all children which is what appears in the console when I click "Install entire feature." Office 2003 does install with a custom install, though there are other problems with it (but that's a different bug). The problem in this bug is what is described in comment #4: when doing a custom install, the option to "Install entire feature" is always grayed out for all of the items.
