[Bug 10647] New: Counter-Strike 1.6 not working under Wine 0.9.50

Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: test AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: seoulxkorean(a)yahoo.com I removed the default Wine 0.9.49 installation (from Ubuntu 7.10) and compiled/installed the latest Wine (0.9.50) source. Steam runs perfectly fine after adding the "tahoma.ttf" font into the fonts folder but counter-strike 1.6 fails to load. I tried removing the CS files from Wine and reinstalling it via steam but it still doesn't work. Extra notes: I haven't tried running steam or counter-strike in a few days, so it could have something to do with a steam update -- but in either case, I can't seem to get counter-strike running. So is Steam required to reproduce the bug or not? CS1.6(DigitalZone V28, no Steam) worked fine here at lest in Wine 0.9.50

Is this still an issue in current (1.0-rc4) or newer wine?
Now CS doesn't even start. I've installed 1.0-rc4, installed steam from .exe installer; installed CS 1.6 via steam. Yes, to the point. I've even removed everything and followed it once again. Steam installs and works perfectly. Just running CS does not work.
