In the initial bug report, the attached screen shots are the scenarios where "dynamic lighting" is turned on. E.g. I get the same results as firestartw in 2.4 https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/266419049372581889/294232180698120192... and when I clear the lightmap via the game console (r_lm_clear) it's back to the rendering like in 2.1. Interestingly on wine 2.1 clearing the lightmap has no effect on the rendering at all + it seems to be missing some ambient light term (like the lightmap blending would deliver) while in wine > 2.1 clearing the lightmap alters the renderings. In general the rendering results seem to be related to the blending of the lightmap and the dynamic lighting rendering. This is fixed in wine 2.6. I get correct renderings for all tested maps.
