Additional Information: On my netbook with same OS and wine 1.5.24 but Intel Atom N455 1.66 GHz, 1 GB Ram the effect is about 10 times smaller. On a Pentium 4 PC with same OS and wine, its the same: 10 times faster. I tried the Atom D525 with disabled Hyperthreading (only 2 instead of 4 cores), but no success, it remains extremely slow. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

By default two of the options there are activated. They caused the trouble. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

That is a workaround, not a real solution.
I realized that all my ABACOM - programs have problems with those "allow the window manager to...." options in wine configuration. The problem of disappearing sub-windows when clicking in the main window is now solved too since I disabled these options. This is valid for all my ABACOM-programs (SPlan, Layout and Frontdesign) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Please run a regression test as stated in comment 1. This will help to find the commit that caused the problem.
Sorry, but at the moment I'm not capable to run a regression test. But I want to give as many information as possible. As I see it now, it is not a pure regression problem. The problem is also present in wine 1.4 but significantly less severe as in wine 1.5. The problem is clearly related to the graphic option "allow the window manager to control the windows" in "Configure wine". When this option is enabled, the delays are there, when disabled the delays disappear. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33035 --- Comment #8 from Philipp Brueckmann <ph.brueckmann(a)bluewin.ch> 2013-03-01 03:47:35 CST --- My OS ist xubuntu, originally with xfwm4 window manager. As I think the problem is in the window manager, I tried SPlan on a ubunutu PC. The delays don't appear there, also with the mentioned graphic options enabled. So I changed on my xubuntu PC the window manager to compiz. With compiz there are no delays anymore. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
