The program is not usable since converting ebooks is not working. Note at this point that I hacked SetNamedPipeHandleState to return TRUE to overcome the multithreading problems with python. I tested with application versions 0.8.6 and 0.8.37 (the latest one to date). Calibre.exe starts fine after installing native msvc*90 dlls, but the conversion process hangs after starting. The series of 4 patches written by Adam Martinson in bug #17195 fixed the problem in Calibre, and the conversion process finished successfully. Using bug 17273 as it serves as dupe collector for apps while bug 17195 is used for discussion and patch rebasing. The bug dependency should be the other way around, I'll correct this soon...
