I don't know if this is related, but we have now (in ubuntu with 0.9.53) a
similar bug:

shermann(a)home-emt64:~$ winedbg 
preloader: Warning: failed to reserve range 00000000-60000000

shermann(a)home-emt64:~$ wine --version
preloader: Warning: failed to reserve range 00000000-60000000
wine-0.9.53

The same happens on i386, reported by a user:
