I did look up the underlying apis.  There are two:

1) wintab (which Wine does already implement); defined here:
http://www.wacomeng.com/devsupport/ibmpc/downloads.html
One of the sample programs from that SDK is supposedly
called "syspress", and a binary can be downloaded from
http://pixarra.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=1549
to test pressure sensitivity.  This is probably what you need.

2) Tablet PC has a whole new thing; see the MS Tablet PC SDK
for info.  There's a SoC project to get that working, see
