[Bug 21188] New: Lightroom demo 2.6 cannot start
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21188 Summary: Lightroom demo 2.6 cannot start Product: Wine Version: 1.1.35 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: gdiplus AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: mrheinheimer(a)ohmyhead.com Created an attachment (id=25437) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=25437) lightroom demo 2.6 backtrace on failure to start Installed latest Win 1.1.35, latest Adobe Lightroom demo (2.6). Install worked fine, but execution gives: Program Error. The program lightroom.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close... I collected a backtrace - it is attached. The big clue: Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x00000048 in 32-bit code (0x4ec97cd7) I just guessed that it was a gdiplus problem based on the backtrace. Definitely change that in the bugzilla if necessary. I'll be glad to run tests, debug, whatever. Lightroom is the *only* reason I have Windows installed. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21188 --- Comment #2 from Mike <mrheinheimer(a)ohmyhead.com> 2009-12-29 16:34:24 --- Tried each of: ./winetricks fontfix ./winetricks gdiplus ./winetricks vcrun2005 ./winetricks winxp With a run in between each. Same result each time. Wiped out my .wine folder and re-installed Lightroom to get back to clean environment. Same result. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21188 --- Comment #5 from Mike <mrheinheimer(a)ohmyhead.com> 2009-12-29 16:56:00 --- Setting to native gdiplus only in winecfg got me past the initial crash. Now I'm up to the typical LR behavior already reported in several other bugs and on the forum. We can close this one, unless you'd like some more info. Unrelated: I actually tried exporting a RAW (Canon CR2) to jpg format (without being able to see what I was doing, of course), and it succeeded. I guess all of the problems supporting LR are entirely within the gui libraries. Thanks for the quick response! I'm happy to collect more information for whomever takes on the challenge of supporting LR. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Yeah, it's the same thing. It just stops to load native module. Wine's gdiplus currently reports to prefer native, and native doesn't work well sometimes. Let's close this invalid cause workaround is described. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
