[Bug 4283] symlinks are broken and having wine recreate directories does not fix

but it doesn't work for me.

command  notepad.exe  rundll32.exe  system.ini     winebrowser.exe  win.ini
fonts    profiles     system        temp           winhelp.exe
inf      regedit.exe  system32      uninstall.exe  winhlp32.exe
[emesa(a)short-e windows]$ wine notepad.exe
wine: cannot find 'notepad.exe'

[emesa(a)short-e windows]$ wine "notepad.exe"
wine: cannot find 'notepad.exe'
