To reproduce: -launch a 3d game in wayland mode (warframe in my example) -open another application and make sure it has focus -observe that when the mouse cursor is over the game window, game still receives input -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. It's definitely only 3D games, other apps aren't affected?
Please attach the full console output.
I don't have other wine-based apps on my system. All of the following are viable options depending on the application: Do nothing (current code, i.e., keep relative motion enabled) Block all pointer motion events (this MR, but what about mouse button/axis events?) Switch to absolute events (e.g., if we are not dealing with a mouselook scenario) One concern I have with option (2) is that the cursor will just disappear when entering the unfocused window and leave the user without any feedback about what's going on. My personal preference is maintaining the current, more unopinionated "do nothing" approach and try to make some progress fixing the real underlying issue that's causing the bug." With all due respect to that opinion, I'm pretty sure the ingame camera doesn't induce nausea while one alt tabs to change song in a music player under windows. There's currently a shader issue (red/blue swapped) when using Vulkan and running under X11. Switching to Wayland resolved the issue, but introduced the cursor issue. When my character in Star Citizen is on foot (mouselook enabled; mouse controls the character's viewpoint) and I alt-tab out to another window (browser or Discord), SC continues to change the viewpoint as I move the cursor out to the browser window. It primarily becomes an issue when attempting to manually document data that's on screen in SC into the browser window (such as passing ore refinery job data to https://Regolith.Rocks or other game info to Discord). My workaround up to this point has been to take a screenshot of the relevant data, then alt-tab out.
