The 3D viewport of Solid Edge 2024 switches to mostly black / flashes black
when trying to sketch anything.

Installer:

This can be installed in a clean wine win10 or win11 prefix. It might be
necessary to run the installer twice, but it will always work with max 2 times.
Also might have to wait a bit after clicking on Finish.

After installing Solid Edge can be started using

wine
"$WINEPREFIX/drive_c/users/<username>/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/Start
Menu/Programs/Siemens Solid Edge 2024/Solid Edge 2024.lnk"

Click "Continue", decline the data sharing, then click on "New Part" then
"Continue with ordered".
Once the new part has been created click on "Sketch", close the tooltip popup
and select a plane. Then select for example circle or rectangle and move with
the mouse curser over the 0,0 point, the 3D viewport goes black when the mouse
is stationary. When moving the mouse the 3D viewport flips back and forth very
quickly between white and black and the drawn lines leave traces, see attached
screenshot.
