Interestingly, both the demo and the full version claim that they're the 1.2 version of the game, yet, the problem is not present with the full version of the game. Both the open source Nouveau and the proprietary Nvidia driver (295.59) show the reported problem. These messages seem to be relevant, as they're present only with demo version:
