https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44283 Bug ID: 44283 Summary: Windows Media Player 7.1 installer page faults Product: Wine Version: 3.0-rc4 Hardware: x86 URL: http://download.microsoft.com/download/winmediaplayer/ wmp71/7.1/W982KMe/EN-US/mp71.exe OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: jhansonxi(a)gmail.com Distribution: Ubuntu Created attachment 60114 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=60114 Backtrace with native sfc.dll and sfcfiles.dll Windows Media Player 7.1 installer page faults after the component selection screen when it begins installing. Minimizing installed components does not correct the problem, neither does using wine-staging (2.21.0). Note that installer is affected by bug #44274 and needs native sfc.dll to function. Test system: Xubuntu 17.04 x86, Intel Pentium D 3.46GHz, GeForce 8600 GT with Nvidia 340.102 driver. wine-devel 3.0~rc4~zesty from dl.winehq.org -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. I'm not using any native DLLs btw. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44283 --- Comment #2 from Jeff D. Hanson <jhansonxi(a)gmail.com> --- Retested. Like bug #44274 it only occurs with the version set to WinMe. Does not occur with it set to Win98. Same applies to the Windows Media Audio and Video 8 codecs installer (wmpcdcs8.exe) which has a nearly identical installer. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
