By emulating a regular editor control, richedit can (among other things) allow a tab to switch away from the control rather than entering the tab into the edited text (like notepad or wordpad) The part needed is to support the EM_SETEDITSTYLE message, specifically the SES_EMULATESYSEDIT parameter. To get the beta you will need to speak to the Brian who develops it, but i dont think that will be a problem. The product url is: http://www.celestialsoftware.net/ This is a good product and allows control over many settings, it is also a product we use on windows but would like to use on linux as well.
