[Bug 22156] New: Single key press registered as double key press
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22156 Summary: Single key press registered as double key press Product: Wine Version: 1.1.41 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: epssyis(a)gmail.com In the game Star Trek Online holding down on the W A S D keys is interpreted as a double strike of the keys. The intended action is the key should be held down and the character or ship should move in the indicated direction smoothly. Instead the game thinks the key is being pressed twice in quick succession causing an alternative action. This is causing the characters to either roll or stutter in the direction wanted breaking smooth game play. The issue can be intermittent but happens the majority of the time and the current work around is to navigate around the game by holding down both mouse buttons. I should note I do not currently have a subscription to this game but many users are reporting this fault so a bug needs to be created. Hopefully these users will fill in any required information. In the standard console output there are no errors or warnings in relation this this bug. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22156 --- Comment #1 from Dmitry Timoshkov <dmitry(a)codeweavers.com> 2010-03-25 04:06:31 --- Perhaps a duplicate of bug 18296. What distros are that, and what X11 versions do they have? Does a workaround in the bug 18296 help? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22156 --- Comment #2 from edward savage <epssyis(a)gmail.com> 2010-03-25 10:57:37 --- That seems extremely similar to this issue and probably makes this a duplicate. I've asked some people who have access to the game to attempt the workarounds in that bug. I assume we can wait until they report back before closing this bug. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
