I only tested on that one, and only have one OS partition, don't feel like redoing everything. Install went fine, the only thing shown was that error and the log I attached here. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44136 --- Comment #8 from wellbeserious12(a)gmail.com --- For reference, I manually installed Wine 2.0.3 Stable in command line, Wine-Mono Ubuntu 16.04 4.2.1.102/5.4.1.6 in command line, Wine-Gecko 2.47 x86 and x64 both .msi placed in MY Wine directory (/home/oleg/.wine/gecko). Gecko folder created. So unsure of installation status, but another program I installed didn't complain about missing wine- dependencies. You could install wine-staging (you can run that along with wine, if you don`t want to upgrade wine) Another thing thing worth to try is to set windows version to Windows XP (instead of inwdows 8, that you used). I'm no longer using Linux. Each time I install, it's always an incomplete product. I'd even pay for a working one, but there isn't. And I don't believe it will be for a long time; with things from X-amount of package types (no central or few main ones, dependency problems, forcing EVERY user to at least to hundreds of steps for EVERYTHING, and not making programming any easier for the platform I think.
* I want to install Program A. But wait, double-clicking the file doesn't install it?! So here I'll look up how to do it. What?! No step-by-step instructions?! Hmm... I guess looking through tens or more of forums for each single problem and SIMPLE EVERYDAY TASKS WHICH ARE EASILY DONE REQUIRING THESE 'UNNECESSARY' STEPS prove how unfinished it really is.
