I probably have confused "good" and "bad" somewhere. 9bf3355a11ddbb21d39e9ca196c1df3d8acb3196 is first bad commit commit 9bf3355a11ddbb21d39e9ca196c1df3d8acb3196 Author: Andre Wisplinghoff <andre(a)myhost.localdomain> Date: Thu Jan 31 18:08:32 2008 +0100 winecfg: Enable add button when choosing lib from combobox (Libraries tabsheet). :040000 040000 1f6bd4aafcf0b273ddb5869550da706c2a8b235f eeaf6036de667dec0589f1608f2e8a85a15f63de M programs But does a change in winecfg causing the regression much more sense? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

I found the reason why the results don't make sense: it doesn't always crash, so I have mistakenly marked commits as good.
Once you've narrowed down a commit, revert it, compile and try running a few times to be sure you've got the right commit. If reverting doesn't work, compile the parent commit. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

If you copied the fallout folder as it was installed in windows (not doing a regular from CD install through wine) will create this error. When I did a clean installation, I didn't get this error anymore. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

I get the error the original poster describes -- at first damage to the player character, the game crashes. If I run the unpatched version of Fallout, the bug does not appear. (However, it is known that the unpatched version is subject to corrupting save games.) It this is not a bug, it would be helpful to get a description of what mistakes (e.g., in xorg.conf) cause the crash. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
