Yeah, those hacks work around this particular issue, but they cause a different issue with similar symptoms. It appears as a smoke like blue texture that pops in an out and slowly fades away.Probably the same bug manifested in a different way. Screenshot is attached. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

I only noticed this after I upgraded from wine-1.1.24 (if I remember correctly) to wine-1.1.38 and no matter what settings I tweak I can't seem to get it to disappear. It's always in the same places. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

wined3d: Handle a zero source value for WINED3DSIH_RSQ.
This is the first commit to show the red fog (and other solid colors light reflections).
That's clearly a different problem than the initial bug though, possibly a duplicate of bug 21627 and bug 21641. I would very much like to fix those regressions, but I'm currently waiting for console output and hardware info for those. As for the original report, since that's not a regression it will be harder to debug, although that's mostly a matter of carefully looking at how the game draws those objects. The limit there is simply the amount of available developers. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

I don't think it is at all related to the red fog regression, even though the symptoms are somewhat similar. I'll try a fresh installation of Bioshock again. Can't confirm, tested with provided savegame & compared to comment #1: * 1.1.35 ~ ok * 1.1.40 ~ waterfalls ok, but reg fog -> bug 22504 * 1.3.0 ~ ok * 1.3.1-267-g7ab48e8 ~ ok Debian Squezee 32bit nVidia GT240 v195.36.31 It could be driver bug. So try to reinstall + update driver and this bug report will probably turn into invalid. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
