http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13113 --- Comment #1 from Alexandre Julliard <julliard(a)winehq.org> 2008-05-10 14:32:39 --- There's no need to run wineprefixcreate any more, it's deprecated. Just run wine and everything happens automatically. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

hmm wineprefixcreate --help does not say that it's deprecated also manual page of wineprefixcreate does not say anything it being deprecated and if it is why user can run it then?
Because the new config update scheme is still being tested. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13113 --- Comment #4 from Vitaliy Margolen <vitaliy(a)kievinfo.com> 2008-05-11 13:37:14 --- Btw the timestamp check should detect newer version and don't run wineprefixcreate. For past several weeks whenever I run older Wine version it "updates" wine configuration with old settings. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Btw the timestamp check should detect newer version and don't run wineprefixcreate. For past several weeks whenever I run older Wine version it "updates" wine configuration with old settings.
That shouldn't be a problem, when you go back to the new version you'll get the new settings again. If they don't get updated properly that should be fixed. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
