The setting in question that affects this seems to be the Animations setting (under Settings -> General). The "Don't distract me" and "Keep it sober" settings (the lower two) lets everything work as normal, but the "Make it pretty" and "Entertain me" cause menus to become unusable. Note the Display sections claims you have to restart to take effect but I can change this setting without restarting and observe menus switch from functioning to freezing the application. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
