The game runs fine, but only when i set msvcp70 library to native in winecfg,
Silent Hill 2 won't start:

Sure, i did a mistake msvcp70 needs to be set to builtin to see that issue.

Confirming, FIXED in wine-1.5.7-348-gc5cd3d4. Particular commit:
http://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git/commit/c5cd3d4d765bcc02c88bef6d87e6348...

Now the game starts and is fully playable alldlls=builtin. Tested under
wine-1.5.8-160-g8613d5e.
