Tashkinov <t.artem(a)mailcity.com> 2008-01-26 08:07:40 --- Bug #7551 is closed but I'd like to comment upon WinRAR. In wine 0.9.54 both CPU cores are used but average CPU usage in SMP mode is 140-160%, thus WinRAR/wine doesn't fully utilize CPU resources and its performance in SMP mode increases only %20-30 vs ~ 90% increase in speed in Windows. `top` stats: Cpu0 : 73.3%us, 3.7%sy, 0.0%ni, 22.7%id, 0.0%wa, 0.3%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st Cpu1 : 68.3%us, 9.0%sy, 0.0%ni, 22.7%id, 0.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st WinRar performance in Wine: Single core: 647KB/sec Dual core: 764-823KB/sec (the speed changes up and down all the time) WinRar performance in Windows XP SP2: Single core: 660KB/sec Dual core: 1100KB/sec -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
