My mobile phone is the Sony Ericsson K610i http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/phones/k610i At the point in which the application attempts to communicate with the phone, the following is printed in the console: fixme:win:RegisterDeviceNotificationW (hwnd=0x13003c, filter=0x1388e93c,flags=0x00000000), returns a fake device notification handle! fixme:win:RegisterDeviceNotificationW (hwnd=0x13003c, filter=0x1388e93c,flags=0x00000000), returns a fake device notification handle! fixme:setupapi:CM_Locate_DevNodeW 0x1239e018 (null) 0x00000000: stub Each subsequent attempt prints a new "fixme:setupapi:CM_Locate_DevNodeW" line. There is no error message from the application, and it simply returns to the previous window. I realise USB support in Wine is in its infancy, so this could be a long one. Update Service does create its own logs, but it's not clear what format they are (not plain text).
