This isn't the cause of the problem, but don't run wine as root.
That was just to eliminate other causes. I know better ;). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10611 --- Comment #3 from Justin <jmdoles(a)digitaldeviation.com> 2007-11-30 09:55:16 --- The installer appears to create MANY msi*.tmp files within windows/temp. It does this until it runs out of space on the drive. It consumed 44GB+ just with those temp files. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

With 0.9.50, I don't have the 'many .msi files in temp dir', but the install does fail. However, this is because of a .NET problem, not msi: In 0.9.50, I couldn't even install .NET 2.0. I had to rollback to 0.9.49. I need to file a regression bug on that one...
