This is a long lasting problem, this bug report makes mention of it but it was not it's focus : http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11986 I have attached a +ddraw log. This works for prettymuch any resolution you'd care to name (Also note the above is not in the options menu anyway). I can start Homeworld with the /1024-switch which changes the resolution to software rendering and 1024x768.
