Windows XP can open devices (e.g. a com port) also as \\.\COMx\ (see the last
back slash), Wine works only with \\.\COMx

This is really ugly, but maybe Wine should behave same way...

No reply in over a year, and no download. Resolving abandoned, if anyone is
still able to reproduce this in the current development version (currently
1.7.6) feel free to reopen.
