During the game, icons are displayed at the bottom of the screen indicating health/weapon/etc. After the commit, the icons are surrounded by squares. In virtual desktop mode only (not full screen mode), this commit does fix the menus which flash/strobe what appears to be the previous contents of the screen. To recreate: Download the demo, prince_of_persia_demo.zip, from one of the following URLs: (the original site, pop3d.com, is gone. (now a link farm)) http://www.digit.pl/ftp/gry_297/Prince.of.Persia.3D..html http://www.idg.pl/ftp/gry_297/Prince.of.Persia.3D..html Unzip, run the .exe and install. Keep in mind that this commit did fix the menus in this game. It also happens with Wine 1.1.28 (which bug 15056 was apparently fixed by). Maybe the underlying cause wasn't the same as for bug 15056? I'm referring to the icons surrounded by squares problem in the bug title, not the menu flashing issue. Can anyone else confirm? On exiting the demo, it seemed to get stuck in an infinite loop, printing: fixme:font:WineEngRemoveFontResourceEx (L"Tsunami.ttf", 0, (nil)): stub over and over to the console.
