I've found that adding noexec=off and noexec32=off to my kernel line in
grub.conf fixes this, but I get lots of :

fixme:actctx:DeactivateActCtx 00000000 00f00bad
fixme:actctx:ActivateActCtx 0xf00baa 0x336460
fixme:actctx:ActivateActCtx 0xf00baa 0x335828

when it runs.
