@Joerg: do you still have the reported problem in recent Wine? (1.7.46 or newer) If so, please specify what video card and drivers you are using.
I've come across a similar issue recently in Civilization V with the open source nouveau driver, on my part the bug has already been fixed in Mesa git: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91124
