[Bug 20536] New: (Regression) Icons not showing properly in EPIM contextual menu
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20536 Summary: (Regression) Icons not showing properly in EPIM contextual menu Product: Wine Version: 1.1.31 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: trivial Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: saverio.pub(a)inbox.com Created an attachment (id=24487) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=24487) Image of a corrupted submenu. This bug is a regression; it's been introduced in 1.1.31 or (slightly) earlier. It's trivial: when the user displays a contextual menu containing icons and text (generally right-clicking), the icons have a black background; as soon as the mouse hovers over a black icon, the latter changes to the correct color. The bug always happens; and it's been verified on: - Ubuntu Jaunty release - Ubuntu Karmic release - Wine 1.1.31 - Wine 1.1.32 My system is a Dell XPS Studio 16. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20536 --- Comment #1 from Andrew Nguyen <arethusa26(a)gmail.com> 2009-11-01 08:06:42 --- If this is a regression, then please see http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting although, for what it's worth, I don't see the problem with wine-1.1.32 or wine-1.1.32-260-gf222a16. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20536 Wylda <wylda(a)volny.cz> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |wylda(a)volny.cz --- Comment #2 from Wylda <wylda(a)volny.cz> 2009-11-08 13:24:59 --- I did some testing. nVidia v190.42 @ 16bit color depth. All the following versions are OK: * 1.1.28, 1.1.29, 1.1.30, 1.1.31, 1.1.32 nVidia v190.42 @ 24bit color depth. All the following versions are OK: * 1.1.28, 1.1.29, 1.1.30, 1.1.31, 1.1.32 So because reported system has ATI card, i would say that ATI driver is the reason. Similar/duplicate see bug 20589. @Saverio> Could you test wine-1.1.26 and wine-1.1.27? Because you say "1.1.31 or (slightly) earlier" and there is another bug 20022 which is "ATI only". Then this would be duplicate of that bug. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20536 --- Comment #4 from Saverio Miroddi <saverio.pub(a)inbox.com> 2009-11-11 14:36:59 --- I confirm that the bug shows in both 1.1.26 and 1.1.27. I used the x86-64 Jaunty packages downloaded from (somewhere), on my Karmic machine. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20536 --- Comment #5 from Wylda <wylda(a)volny.cz> 2009-11-11 23:07:26 --- Created an attachment (id=24686) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=24686) Screen taken from wine-1.1.32-539-gab081aa (In reply to comment #4)
I confirm that the bug shows in both 1.1.26 and 1.1.27.
I can not confirm that. It works for me in 1.1.26, 1.1.27 and even current git is OK (wine-1.1.32-539-gab081aa). To be sure, that we are talking about the same issue i attached screen from latest git version. Differences between us: ATI vs nVidia and 32bit vs x86-64. So if you want to help somehow, you have to find the latest _working_ version. Then perform regression test between this _working_ version and _working_version+1_. It easy and fun ;) If you need advice: http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting (see "Running the bisect"). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20536 --- Comment #6 from Saverio Miroddi <saverio.pub(a)inbox.com> 2009-11-27 19:16:34 --- I incidentally installed the FGLRX proprietary drivers, and the glitch disappeared. I can can confirm that with wine 1.1.33/FGLRX drivers installed/Ubuntu Karmic, the icons are fine. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
