Oh, BTW, after experimentation, it appears the problem only occurs with
Type1/Postscript style OpenType fonts, not with TrueType style OpenType fonts. 
The MS core fonts are OpenType TT fonts, and they work fine.

So it appears the problem is related to either Wine not being able to
differenciate between the types of OpenType fonts, or Photoshop treating them in
an odd way (since OpenType PS was created by Adobe, I'd bet on the latter).
